On my 797 receipt for 485 application I see that "Received date" is 15th August 2007 but the "Notice date" is 12th October 2007. Why would that be do I need to worry about that?
You needn't worry abou that ... Received date (RD) is the day when USCIS received the application and Notice Date (ND) is the date on which the notice was generated. when the receipting process slows down the RD and ND may differ considerably. For all purposes it is the RD that will be taken into account.
