Received Call from USCIS- gurus ???

Hi,

Day before yesterday I received call fromUSCIS on my cell phone.

The lady on the phone asked me if my I-485 application is still pending or not.
And she asked me my labor certification date.
when I asked her, why she is calling me then she told me that she is researching on my case and will send me outcome in mail in few weeks.

I don't understand what is this for. I don't have any SR open neither I have any inquiry through any other chennal.
The only thing I can think of is the I7000 application I filed to USCIS Ombudsman. but that was like 6-8 months ago and I have not heard from them since then.

My name check is stuck since August 2004. I have already sent two letters to First Lady and both response came back saying they are still working on Name check and will send me outcome once it is done.

Any body in this group have come across such situation?

Please let me know.
 
There have been a few reports of this. Seems like they are conducting a survey or things like that. Hope it helps your case in some way.
 
I too got the call from the TSC asking for my I-140 Receipt number and said they were researching on my case. I too wrote to Ombudsman long back that i did not got any reply yet. This happend to me in the month of November. But no feedback/reply mails yet. You can keep your fingers crossed but nothing happend in my case.
