Received approvals, group got acquired 10 days b4 approval

We received approvals recently AD 3/29/02. The acquisition although effective from 03/16/02 went through on 04/2/02. Attorney wants me to draft a letter to INS stating that I have changed jobs.
Will go to passport stamping some time this week.
Would or would you not send the letter ?
