But in the approval notice it says "Do not take any action at this time" " Prior to receiving your permanent resident card you may be required to report for biometrics processing..."
I don't understand, is USCIS changed the rules recently or why before after approval you were have to go to local CIS office and get passport stamp and now I have to take no action. Does anybody aware of those new rules?

My dates are 05/08/2000, FP 04/01/2004, RFE April 25, 2005. Approval Notice received June 09, 2005.

Congrats Serge! Did you get your biometrics letter? My ND is after yours and I did mine in April. Call them!

No I did not get any biometrics letter. This is why I am asking about changes in CIS rules. I don't want to wait for something only to find out later that I should went to my local CIS office to get the stamp in passport.
I found couple of links where people have similar situations to my.

I haven’t seen anything published regarding this new rule, but a lot of us who supposedly are going to get approved this fiscal year have been getting biometics letters. The officer that took mine mentioned that this is for the actual card. Call them since this is probably the last hurdle before you get the actual card. Good luck!

First of Congratulations! Don't worry about it, you will get your GC soon.

Hey, did they transfer your case to the local office?

I did my biometrics on June 2nd, the message changed from 'pending review' to 'process resumes...'. I hope this crap would end soon as I have only 3 1/2 months left on my 6th year h1b.

No they did not, because notice clearly states that my application to adjust to permanent resident has been approved. As I understand CIS just changed rules how they handle cases after the approval. By the way I called 1-800 number and they told me not to do anything and just wait.

I think once you are qualified as an asylee, you don't need to worry about your H1B any more.
