I received a speeding ticket 2 months ago which i really wasn't speeding (cop says she she visually estimated the speed?) and I took it to court. They gave me an offer which is plea no contest pay half the ticket and no points on my licence and no traffic school or go to trial. I accepted since i did not want to have to take time off work again to go to court. Now I have Oath Ceremony And is wondering if this will affect me. Any help please?

On day of Oath they will give you a form that asks you if you received any tickets, arrested etc after interview. Just inform them at that time.

If you look at the oath letter (Form N-445), on the back, question 3 asks about traffic violations etc. Mark that as "Yes" and carry with you to the naturalization ceremony the citation disposition information from the court. That should be sufficient. There should be no other effect on your naturalization process.

Good luck!

I agree with what HVN400 said. If you had not paid/settled the ticket, just do it ASAP and get a court certified disposition record and bring with you the oath.

Not necessary, but a good idea.

I had a similar kind of experience. After my interview and before my Oath. Was apparently going 52 in a 35 mile zone (according to officer's laser). I apologized. Nice officer, gave me ticket for doing 40 in a 35 mile zone saying that I would get less points and fine. I had not paid the fine. The last day to pay the ticket was after my Oath date. Meanwhile I went to take Oath and had checked "yes" to question 3. The officer asked me what happened and I explained. He asked if any drugs or DUI was involved. I said no. He asked me if I had paid the fine and I said that I had not and there was time left. He wanted to take a look at the ticket. I gave him my copy. One quick look and he said "I wouldn't worry about this" (with regards to it's effect on my Oath) and returned the ticket.

I took the oath, got my naturalization certificate and same-day passport (since I had to leave to India shortly) on the same day.

They are more concerned about DUI/drugs (which reflects low moral character).

Good luck and don't loose your sleep over it.
