Received a RFI (I-485) - Requesting Help

Hello,

I have received a RFI for I-130 and I-485 filed for my wife's Green Card recently. The RFI says the following

F. (40) The sponsor or joint sponsor (if required) on Form I-864 Affidavit of Support must submit the following:


  • W-2s, 1099s and/or all schedules submitted to the IRS - a copy of his/her Federal Tax Return was submitted and/or the sponsor or joint sponsir requested an extension to file his or her Federal Tax return


  • Federal income tax returns for the most recent tax year or certified Internal Revenue Service (IRS) copies. To obtain transcripts please call IRS......guidelines how to get them


  • Evidence of current employment or self-employment including a letter from each employer on business stationery, showing beginning date of employment, type of work performed, number of hours worked per week, and salary or wages paid. If you are self-employed, submit a recently dated letter on business letterhead or a business license

Here are my Questions for which I need help:


  1. I am self employed and run a S-Type corporation. The income from corporation is declared on my tax statement and I file jointly with my wife on single tax statement. I had provided USCIS copies of tax statements with all requested schedules for last 3 years. I had also included my wife's W-2's in case they need them.

    I had also included a letter explaining that my income on these tax statements is total income on tax statement minus my wife's W2 income which is much above the federal requirements.

    The question I have is what else do they need here now? or I am expected to send all that information again ?



  1. I had not sent the letter in 3rd bullet but I am including that now?


  1. Is there anything I should be worried about here.? Any guidence on how to respond will be greatly appreciated?

Try sening IRS Transcript

You are on right track. In addition to what you are sending, you could get last 3 year's transcript for the tax returns.

You get this from IRS for free. You can either submit a form (www.irs.gov) or call IRS and ask for transcript. It normally arrives in about 10 days.

Hi,

I have also recieved same knid of notice but its for I-485 and there are 2 pages one says F(9) and other says F(40) but in both the points it says the same thing.
I have sent these documents before and I dont know why they are asking again?????
 
Received RFI

I am totally confused why they are asking for the same thing to me again. All the tax statements with schedules were attached. Does anyone from the group know for sure if they need IRS transcripts for sure or just the photocopy of tax returns are fine?

Hello - Can anyone help

Hello, Can ANyone help here with your experience. I am not sure what USCIS wants me to do here as I already did what they wanted. Any help would be appreciated.

It must be transcripts from IRS. Your tax statement and stuff is not enough. Go to the IRS website and look at the form you will need. Actually I think it should have been written on the notice what form you would need.
