Hi all:

Need help!

Passed the citizenship interview on May 25, 2005, and
waited for FBI name check so far for two years. Got a
letter from Oakland USCIS office today, asked
me...

"Please respond and certified sworn statement, return
it to the above address".

There are two attachments

1) Record of Sworn Statement in Affidavit Form
2) re-fingerprinting form

What I don't understand why USCIS sent me this letter,
whats purpose. Is there anyboyd having the same situation before the oath?

Thanks for help.

Sorry to hear that you had to wait so long !!!

What does it say in that statement?

As for FP, I think they retake FP after 18 months of first FP (or some similar period) if case is not decided by then. This also could be an indication that your case is in process now.

I got the "Record of Sworn Statement in Affidavit Form" as well, after 2.5 years
waiting for Name Check .. . Does anyone know if we need to get this notarized before
sending it in ?

bayheart and moomber,
What is the obligation behind the signature on the Sworn Statement? Do they want you to surrender all your human rights?
