I started faxing to CSC on 06/04/04 to 949-389-3055 (level 1). I also asked my lawyer to do the same, which she presumably did. I continued faxing twice a week to the same number for 2 weeks. This didn't help. Then I faxed to 949-389-3486 (level 2) on 6/15. I faxed to this number couple of times, and also asked my attorney to do the same (which she said she did). I pretty much stopped faxing, saying to myself that this is an exercise in futility. Today, on 6/29, after 2 weeks I am greeted with a seemingly useless fax back from some official, with a handwritten note saying:

"All I-485 cases with expired FP will be rescheduled. Please allow 60 days for action on this case. If you haven't received any notice regarding this I485, please contact us again"

This response has reignited my drive to be a pain in the ass of CSC. I will fax to Ombudsman next (3rd level). I'll also call CSC next week. Anyone has any other ideas??

I got answer for my fax inquires too, but different message:
"Please allow us sufficient time to adjudicate I-485 application. You will be notified by mail when a decision has been made...."

Pretty nice answer.... I feel better now...

Me too, same thing about "sufficient time". My lawyer did the inquiry as well; she says: "your case is still pending".

It is just something to get you off their back for another two months

The same happened to me too, I am asked to wait another 30-60 days after FP before I can even fax an inquiry.

The inquiry system has been almost paralyzed b/c they move JIT falsely and as a result inquiry system is flooded with faxes.

similar reply to me as well

sent level I fax enquiry to CSC....was surprised to even receive a reply :-)

It said that 485s with expired FPs are being rescheduled for FP...give them 60 days time & contact level II fax # if no action is seen...

Now I see Last Updated Date changed from 5/14 to 6/29

I know it doesn't mean much. I wonder if it got updated to simply reflect the fact that someone replied to my fax today.
