They have transferred 50% of workload to TSC. They range from PERM applications to family I-485 to Asylee I-485...So are you close? No you are not. An officer has not looked at your case. Wht they are doing is prepping up your application for approval.
The main part is that an officer HAS to look at your application and their strategy to cut backlog is to get everything from the applicant so once officer aproves it, you will get your GC in 4 days...rather than 4 months as it was before..

it depends on what "close" means to you, if it's only weeks or a few months I would say you are no close, a year ago I thoght I would get my green card in 12 o 13 years, now is probably gonna take a year and a half, and that time for me is very close indeed. I would be more than pleased if I get it in less than two years, so relax.
