The exact same thing happened to me too. I actually recieved the letter for RFI and as I was waiting for my doctor to finish the medical, I recieved a bio 3 notice, but there was no LUD for my bio request. I just got it. Anyways, I did the bio on time in September and I'm waiting. The last LUD was to confirm that they got my RFI. Don't know what it means either.

INS don't send email or update the on-line status for the bios.

When you submitted your RFI, did you enclose the original Notice with your updated G-325A ? RFI from NSC ( green paper ) requests that but RFI from TSC ( white or faint-yellow paper ) does not mention that.

Some people in this forum mentioned their case did not get updated after submitting response to RFI... Maybe these people forgot to attach their original Notice so the processing was delayed ( as NSC warned in the RFI notice ) ? Any comment ?

Do you mean original Notice the green sheet?
I just want to confirm with you the items I will need to send back for the RFI:

I got the green sheet from NSC, ask for Medical and G-325A.
The items in my return envelop will be:
1. Doctor's sealed letter with I-639, I-639 supplemental form
2. Updated G-325A
3. The original notice
4. A cover letter I will write.

Is everything correct? Thanks

You are right that TSC doesn't ask for the original notice when you return the RFI, but I attached it anyway. My RFI was ackowledged by TSC as of Oct 11.

I did not attach the original Notice or copy when I submitted my updated G-325A a week ago. My case has not updated since Sept 20 ( Email for RFI ), so I start to worry if I need to re-submit my G-325A with attachment of copy of the RFI Notice ( to TSC ). I did not re-do the medical because I did that when submitting 485.

Since the transfer from NSC to TSC, there is possibility to lose some files...
So, do you think they will send me RFE if they can not find my old medical ?

How do you know your RFI was acknowledged by TSC ? Did your online status show that ? Thanks !

You mention something about the original "green" RFI notice. When I sent my G325A and medical back, I also attached the original RFI notice, but mine was "orange/yellow" and not green. It was also from NSC. I know this sounds paranoid, but is that just a matter of different color paper or do colors mean anything?

Serendipitous,

I do not know the meaning of color. I remember Wantmygcnow once mentioned RFI as green and RFE as yellow. Now from your thread I realize even NSC alone can produce different colors for the same stuff.

BTW, did you submit your medical when you originally filed 485 ?

Thanks for the info.
I did sobmit my medical when I initially filed my I-485 years ago, but when I recieved my RFI a few months ago, it asked for medical again and mentioned that if I have already submitted it, I can choose not to resubmit my medical, but if they are unable to find my initial medical, then my case could be delayed or considered abandoned. Because of what they said, I saw best fit to resubmit a new/current medical again.

Porkman,

I remember you previously mentioned 2002 cases were transferred to TSC..
My family ND is Apr 2002. However now my case was transferred to TSC ( RFI Notice ) and my daughter is still in NSC ( RFI Notice ) and looks like they are not going to combine the family together... How can this happen ?

Thanks,

Thanks,

Does anyone know if asylum based I-485 cases are all transfered to local service centers before approval or if NSC can and has before directly approved a case?

I received two letters - RFI and Biometric- from NSC three days ago. My RFI (dated 10/07/05) asks for medical and biographic from NSC. Another letter (I don't know the date) asks for biometric. LUD are 10/11/05 and 10/13/05. I have no idea why the last updated date changed twice.
