Hello,
I recently did a concurrent filing of I-140 and I-485 (along with EAD for my wife and self). My company lawyer is representing me and I have signed G-28 form for that.
My company has recently received all the receipts for I-485 and I-765 and gave me all the EAC numbers.
I was on the impression that I would also receive the receipts for I-485 and I-765 since they belong to the applicant, not to the company.
1) Am I supposed to receive the receipts for them even if I sign G-28 form?
2) My receipt for I-485 is EAC-03-174-XXXX (let me not disclose last 4 digits). Is there some logic in the way this numbers are generated. 03 might be the year and 174 might be the days of the year(scale: 365 days a year). But since I have applied by middle of May, 2003, I don't know why this is 174.
3) Since my company did not give the receipt number for I-140, I am trying to 'guess' it. Is there any logical way of calculating I-140 receipt #? My received date is May 14, 2003 at VSC (EB2).
Please help.
Thx,
