I mailed my N-400 to Mesquite,TX
Does any one know what this means?

"Missing Evidence- your application was missing evidence(s) that you will need to provide at the time of your naturalization interview. You will be notified under separate notice of the necessary evidence(s) that you will be required to bring to your interview. "

It also says I should expect to be notified within 365 days. Is this standard number of days? My priority date is 3/8/05. Anyone from San Antonio office of INS who can share their experience in the recent past would be helpful.
Thanks.

Don't worry about "missing evidence"

I think most, if not all of us get this "missing evidence" note on our N-400 application receipt notice. It is probably intended to cover the original documents you're supposed to bring to the interview (some of which you had just sent copies of with the N-400). Others have speculated it's because you may have checked something unusual on your N-400 with no added explanatory information or supporting evidence e.g. checking "yes" for question 16 for a traffic ticket citation.

That said, there was no follow-up reference to any "missing evidence" on my interview appointment notice, other than the standard documents you're supposed to bring (PR card, passport(s), etc.) Bring these plus the typical other back-up info. discussed on many other threads here and you'll be fine.

N400 Timelines at San Antonio

ENJOYLIFE,

Please can you share your N400 timelines, so we will know the latest timelines at San Antonio, Texas.

I filed my N400 last week (Mesquite Texas - San Antonio).

Thanks,

03N400APPLICANT,
I was thinking of starting a separate thread for time tracking because I saw sometime ago two more people from San Antonio. I would request them to add their timelines as well. As far as my timeline as I mentioned in my original Post all I have is priority date of March 8, 05.

Any opinion on why it says it will take 365 days?

Never believe those times quoted on the notice -- it can be much better or worse in reality. Much better to go from the processing dates on the USCIS status reports and from what you're seeing here.

CanTex is right again.
I also heard that many people get NOA with missing evidence, but it is not even mentioned at the interview later.
In any case bring to interview originals and copies of all documents.
