Receipt Numbers Not Available Online

Got NOAs with receipt numbers but none of the three (130, 485, 765) is available online. Called 800 number, was told it is a "computer glitch". Well duh, I could have figured that on my own. Rep told me everything is A-OK but obviously this "glitch" is causing some of the OKness to go away so to speak.

So anyone else experience this?

I actually just got my NOAs today (only for the I-130 and 765, though) and tried online. Nothing was there. I'm assuming/hoping they're just not available online yet.

Is it normal not to get all your NOAs at once, though (missing the NOA for I-485) I'm assuming they all can't make it on the same day, but still wondering none-the-less.
 
Been there, done that, got the tshirt

Happened to me, called the 1-800 # and got pretty much the same answer. Furthermore, those callcenter agents rely on the same database, they see the same information you would if there is any. WIth other words they're as blind as you are until somebody puts your data into the system. That might take a while, though while you grow yourself some grey hairs.

Look at my timeline. My online information was kinda frozen from sometime in February until I finally got my GC in may, it was never updated and drove me nuts. I gave up on calling them because I couldn't afford all the snacks and drinks I needed while waiting ...

Even opening an email account didn't help. They never had me updated that way either.

I experience the same problem at first too, I think it take awhile for them to add the receipts online. give them another week.

"Status for this Receipt Number cannot be found at this time in this automated system."

I was hoping to recive FP appointment any day now. Well, still waiting.
 
I checked online today and saw that my 130 and 765 forms were up there. My 485 still isn't, though.
 
I was able to enter my recipt number online today and suprise i have a ref? I'm still wondering what the ref will be.
 
Thanks Patty, Just curious that they were asking for ref so soon. Most of the reading i have been seeing on ref is usually after the FP.
 
Mine sill are not available either.

There is a new wrinkle in it though for me. I called the 800 again (no hang ups this time ;) ). I was told my FP notice was sent out last Wednesday. I know the mail can be slow but there's no way it should take more than 7 days for a letter to go from Missouri to Nevada. I inquired about this to the CSR and she told me that even though it was sent, it doesn't necessarily mean it was mailed and could take up to 30 days for me to get it. Ohh, kay. :(


UPDATE: Checked the mail today and hey hoorah, the FP notice came. It was post marked 7/27 so it really did take 8 days to make the journey.

But wouldn't you know it, my appointment is for next Thursday when I will be traveling. I'll try going in today or tomorrow with my itinerary and see if they'll let me slide. Doubt it, but worth a shot.

But at least now I know that even if the case sin't online, it is being worked on which is really all that matters.

Hi,

I have the same problem with my I-485 receipt #. I can see my I-130 and I-765 status but not I-485. I applied in Aug 2005 and i stll cant see my 485 So whenever i call for status, i have to ask the customer service representative to transfer me to the immigration officer and it seems like they can see the details ok. So just because you cant track your receipt number doesnt mean it is not in the USCIS system. You can try the same as i did to find the status. Hope this helps
