Receipt number missing from online status

Hi,
I applied for my wife's EAD renewal with RD 6/24/05 and ND 07/01/05. I have received the receipt notice for this. When I tried to check the case status online, it says "Cannot found this receipt number...."

What this mean..? did anyone faced this problem and how it was resoved.
