Receipt Notice

HI

I applied for I-485 in Aug 2002. I did not get my receipt notice. I called long time ago and found that the address was entered with slight mistake. We got our LIN numbers.We called again to see if we can get our receipt notices as a proof that we applied, so that i can include a copy with EAD etc. But they said they cannot send the receipt notice again. They are inconsistent. My wife got a letter acknowledging about the receipt notice, but i did not get. Is there any way we can get a our receipt notices ??

Call a couple of times to get a feel of things as to where they stand. Be polite though. I have seen that diff people will tell you different things when you call the 800 number. It seems that you definately need a reciept or else how will u be able to track the progress of the application.
 
Don't panic..... contact to good attorney.... explain them u already have LIN no...

there would be many ways..... just don't wait more,,,, u should have contact attorney before..... (contact only good experienced attorney not cheapone...) if u feel comfortable call Rajiv S. Khanna or any famous in ur local area talk them don't hesitate to offer them good fees to solve this issue

and do post the responses there would be more ppl who have similar cases.... keep it up good work and help ppl.
