Receipt Notice Remark: Is this common?

Is this common?

I received the receipt in the mail yesterday and this is what it stated:

"You will be notified of the date and place of your interview when you have been scheduled by the local USCIS office. You should expect to be notified within 540 days of this notice."

The 540 days obviously struck me, does every receipt say the same thing?

Thank you for your reply, I was a little stunned in the beginning but I reckoned these guys only want to give very modest estimates as to their timeline and end up beating that target.
 
Mine (and my wife's) had 540 days as well. Our interviews were scheduled exactly 6 months after our fingerprint appointment (in Dallas, Priority Date: Sept 2005, FP in November, Interview scheduled for May 2006).

It's all part of the USCIS's "confuse the customer" strategy (like their "on line case status" tool or their use of the non-word "deschedule" to describe an indefinitely postponed interview that ironically includes an English test).

Don't worry about it. Just sit tight and check your mail every day (and occasionally take a look at the online status tool - when your name disappears from the tool, your interview should be around the corner).

I would not really worry it, mine said the same thing but it looks like immigration is starting to move a little quicker than before. Where was you application filed?

send out: 08/31/06
receipt notice: 09/15/06
finderprinting: 09/20/06

Our timeline is very similar check below, my district office is Chicago which one is yours?
