Hi OCT2000,It will take atleast 4-8 weeks to get the receipt. From this board I noticed that it even takes longer than that now. Earlier it was not like that. However you can find out whether INS has your application after it clears your checks that you sent for the application fee. Good Luck!.

Thank you very much for your information. I did not issue any checks towards the fee, seems to be my attorney have paid all these expenses and charge to me later. I can check with my attorney whether checks got clear or not. I am a little bit hesitate to contact him thinking that it is too early to contact him on this matter.
