Receipt Date

We sent out our N-400s to SSC last week (10/27/2004). Just saw our checks had cleared and had this ssc*----------- numbers on the back. Checked on the online status site to see if appears. To my surprise it does appear and says both of our N-400s were received on August 3rd 2004 (instead of Nov 1, 2004). How is that possible? Gurus, can you please comment. Thanks.

Make sure you have the right number from the back of the check. Also, wait till you receive 1-797 and still see different day on it, call customer service.

But definitely wait till you receive your 797 (notice of action).
