Receipt date(RD) & Notice Date(ND) - I485

My I-485 got filed last month at VSC. I-485 receipt notice has the following info :
Receipt Date(RD) : Jan 13 2003
Notice date(ND) : Feb 18 2004

Can anyone pl help me finding out what these dates represent and what date should be used for tracking purpose. Just to give further info, my I-485 was filed on pre-exesting labour in the company.

RD implies Receipt date : The date when your package was received by CIS

ND implies Notice Date: the date when you were entered in their systems.

For all practical purposes I guess you should start your counter from Notice Date

Pre-existing labor does not alter this info
