Hi Guys

I received Service request response from USCIS which say.. my case waiting for officer review... and decision or notice of action will be sent within 90 days.....

what does this mean......

Few days back ..I talked to IO..

First time lady said.. my case in the area where case are being reviewed before sending to the officer...:(

Second time.. THE MAN.. said my fingerprints looks good.. but my Name check is pending.....

Now what does all this mean.... can anyone shed some light.... what to do....

totally confused...

Is the SR reponse pretty standard or they will clearly tellin SR response that my name check is pending....

Guru's please shed some light......

I have the same question. Is the SR response the final and accurate? We always hear different answers from different IOs over the phone and so from officers at InfoPass.

I heard that the response from IO officers and from InfoPass may or may not be accurate. Then, how about the response from NSC from your service request? Is it 100% correct?

Thanks in advance.

Looks like something is seriously messed up at USCIS service centers. I got a email reply for a service request that I filed in Feb 20 2007. Since I got no reply at that time, I went took InfoPass appointment in April, went there and updated my address because USCIS did not update my new address. Now they say we have received the request and the address looks good. So now they are looking at Feb requests. I was expecting my approval but got this message. My PD : EB3 India April 2 2002 , I485 Receipt date Nov 2 2004. FIled with CSC and transfered to NSC in Feb 2007.

God knows what is going on. Now that all categories are current, there will be a big mess in data entry, EAD approvals and renewals. This is becoming a never ending nightmare.

don't worry, You will get your approval soon.

When you call NSC, officers will tell you what they want to. No answer is perfect or 100% accurate answer. also I don't trust Infopass also because last month i took infopass and got reply that My case is pending in name check, however I got approval last friday. So whatever they said just take it as pinch of salt.

Keep calling , you may get different answer everytime. Don't lose hopes. If officer says its in staging area and needs to be reviewed by officer then It is good news. You may get approved in day or week. my file was in staging area for 3 weeks. During 3 weeks ( Starting from June 1st) , I called n times to NSC , and every time got different answer but most of the answers were its in area where officer needs to do review.

So sit tight and call NSC again and just ask what is the status, why everyone else is getting approved whose PD & Rd are far from your dates.
