Hello,

Recd approval on 01/06/05 for I-140 and I-485. Approvals for both wife and self.

Filed I-140 (EB3) and I-485 on Sept 15 2003.

Recd RFEs on I-140 and both I-485s. Employer ability to pay and marriage evidence (though marriage certificate was submitted earlier). Marriage certificate resubmitted as response.

Thanks to everyone in the forum. Really appreciate.

First of all congrats to you. It seems USCIS is not following the EB3 retrogression :) This is good sign.
 
Yes, looks like for those folks whose Visa numbers have been issued, they will get the 485 approved irrespective of retogression. Visa numbers are released by NVC in the last stage of 485.
 
NVC is a National Visa Center. It is part of Department of State unlike USCIS which is Department of Homeland Security. NVC controls the visa numbers and releases them for each individual. It is DOS that decides how many visas have been issued so decide on the next PD for retrogression.

how do we find out if the visa number has been issued?
