I hope i am posting this correctly. Previously, I was on an H1B that was issued in July 2002 and valid till July 2005. However, in Aug. '04 I did a change of status staying in USA to an F1 for my Masters. I graduated iwth MA in May 2006 and currently, I am getting to the end of my OPT. Guess I have a few related Qs:
a. Is there anyways I can now recapture the one year of H1B (2004-2005) that I did not use?
b. If so, does my new employer have to file only for H1B portablity or get a new H1B?
c. If new H1b- would that be for three years (as a cap-exempt case) or for another 6 years?
