Hello gurus
Would like to start a discussion to find out what are the typical reasons for an I485 denial. Any experiences would be greatly appreciated.

1)If AC21 , and if employer dos not have the ability to pay.
->Can be appealed if you have proof otherwise

2)The figure out some sort of a fraud (taxes, pay stubs.. so on)
->Can be appealed if you have proof otherwise

3)Figure out if one has worked /stayed with out status
->Can be appealed if you have proof otherwise

4)Been arrested on serious charges.
->Don't know

Failed medical exam (having HIV for example)

If you changed jobs and your job is not pretty much the same as your old job.

If you've had a J visa in the past and did not return to your home country for 2 years or got a waiver.

Belive it or not, some of most common cause for denials are failure to respond to RFE or appear for FP on time. Make sure you change the address officially upon moving. RFE goes to the lawyer, but usualy they have more profitable things to do.

Luck is main part here.....

If you don't have luck.....this is the main reason for denial of 485....

1)If AC21 , and if employer dos not have the ability to pay.
Only few times INS will ask about this in 485 stage when you apply AC21.
(NOT ALL THE TIME)

2)The figure out some sort of a fraud (taxes, pay stubs.. so on)
I don't believe that INS checks about taxes and paystubs whether they are real or fraud. If they do so, then we have to wait for our 485 approvals atleast 10 yrs....

3)Figure out if one has worked /stayed with out status
I believe there are 90% guys who was in out of status (i.e out of status means, some one is on bench (not a matter it is one day or one year))

4)Been arrested on serious charges.
may be this will cause to denial...

I don't mean to mistaken naggi, but I saw there are lot of people who got approval even though they have same kind of issues... so surely luck have to play role....

I heard that 140 is approval is main. Once 140 is approved you are (well let me add ALMOST) certain to get green card.

Does anyone think today's blasts in London will prompt homeland to add additional layers of security check or scrutiny?

THanks
