Reason for the Delay...Some News to Relax

Folks,

I know many of you are anxiously waiting for your approval and So Iam.

This is the current situation now in BCIS :

They have started looking back backlogs from August'01 to Nov'01 I-485 Pending Cases. They are approving those cases. And it is very true that BCIS is transferring most of EB1 cases and other country cases (where registration deadline got completed recently. They are putting more scrutiny on these cases). Backlog reduction team exists in BCIS.

At the same time, some of the Sr.Officers are undergoing training class for 2 weeks from July 8th on basis of the new memo/new procedure release by BCIS head to speed up/reduce backlogs. This is the cause for the processing time to jump from 18 months to 19 months. Hope things will get straighted up again from Next week or so. But then who knows what BCIS does??

Hi magesh_kk:

What's EB1? My I-485 application is employment-based. What
category do you think I am?

Clueless

Were you hiding in BCIS toilet to get this insider information. Why the heck you always try to spread unnecessary rumors.

why just transferring EB1? Can you provide more information about your "Internal Source today", like a url link?

What about mine???

Hi Magesh,
Can you find out what happened to my case from internal source, pleeeaaase???

:D :p ;)

VSC is moving smoothly so why

all this fuss? How fast do you need since they are approving Feb 2002 cases now. 1 year approval time is a fiction now.

Obviously, to reduce backlog, VSC has to do sth extreme, like transfer all EB1 and EB2 NIW, since those cases are not based
on employment(and they have done some already). and tranfer all special registration country cases(they are doing that already).
They have to clean the backlog, it's terrible for them to process a case longer than 540 days.

what magesh said is high likely, new policy, could be FP expiration rules, could be new RFE rules....who knows. but sth
must be loosen up to let old cases go. Otherwise they will forever face backlogs and outside critics.

Hope our petition will do some good too. :)

FEB cases ????.

hi gheewalabhai888

How are you saying BCIS is precessing feb cases.Do you have any proof ???.I dont think BCIS is processing FEB cases....

One thing that you forgot to highlight:
The VSC processing time is negatively impacted by the high number of TPS filings and the statutory processing time for these cases.

TPS TPS TPS

To know more about EB1 and EB2

Dengdeng,

who told you that EB1 and EB2 are not based on employment? As far as I know only the first subcatagory under EB1 is not. I have seen many cases around me, which lie in either EB1 or EB2, are based on employment.

I have followed your posters, as many of others have. You want to make sure what you write is right and lead us to the right direction, don't you?

Take it cool

Hi guys,
This is the usual style of Mahesh_kk. He used to come up with this kind of stuff before a lot. After the freeze at end of last year, he disappeared and is coming out again.
