She told me that the reason for slow approvals is that other applications (didn't tell me what those are!) have more priority, and that human resources were shifted to address those needs.
Based on info that appeared in this forum, I assume that more refugee cases and asylum cases were (are) being processed before the deadline.
Employment -based immigration is getting its butt kicked, once again, even though the Wall Street journal say that the market needs our skills.
