Following is my current status:
Initially came on H1B with Company A in December 2003
Got converted to L1B by same company A in June 2006
My current L1B is valid till May 2008
I want to covert/reapply for H1B through another Company B. I have following questions:
1) Do I come under the Cap? i.e. if I apply for the H1B, do I need to wait till October. If no then normally how long does it take?
2) If I dont come under the Cap, can I apply even after October?
3) As far as I understand L1B will only be valid for 5 years. If I can get it transferred to H1 then does it extend my stay to 6 Years?
