REAPPLYING AFTER 6 YEARS on H-1B ARE UP

If my 6 years on an H-1b are up on June 1, 2008 and I leave the U.S. on June 8, 2008, do I need to wait for the full 365 days before APPLYING for an H-1b visa. That is can I apply in February 2009 or March 2009 for a new H-1b OR can I only apply on June 9, 2009?

Please help.
 
You cannot enter the U.S. within a year but you can apply for H1B before that. The new application should indicate a start date which is more than a year from your last working day.
