Really?! MADDENING!

I can't believe how the consulates/immigration can drag people around for so long. Our friend's case was approved SIX months after their priority date in 1998. However, they didn't receive their approval notice until 2002!!!

So here they are, 13 year after they've applied, thinking that their child is still protected under the CSPA, believing their approval date was 3 years AFTER the actual date... So they base their whole lives around the fact that they're going to come to the US, and just NOW, they find that their child has been denied. WHY?! Why does something like that have to happen, and how do they just act so recklessly, without care for what they're doing to people's lives? Had they known way back in 1999, I believe their whole life courses would have been different. Isn't there SOMETHING that can be done, some complaint that can be made against this unjustness, unfairness... Or can they really just get away with anything, because they are the government members? UGH!!!!

I know, I know, I've heard all the excuses.. that this is typical or it "happens," but that's just not good enough for me. Is there really no one to turn to or complain to? Will anyone even care?
