My & my wife's case is a simple one based on GC, no trips more than 5 weeks, 4 trips total out of the country , no criminal stuff arrests etc.

My questions are

Is the guide to naturalization enough for a person to apply themselves ?

I belive i can still aplly 90 days before my 5th GC anniversary correct ?

The only one thing is that I had received a speeding ticket ( only 5mph extra ) no points - which I do not have a copy of. Is that OK ?

Thank you

In my opinion the immigration guide is good enough to follow, but of course if you have time and like reading, no harm in borrowing a book from the library and taking a quick gander. The only gotcha is ofcourse knowing that a traffic ticket also means a citation.

We did not know that and we did not read any 'how-to' books and ofcourse did not visit this forum that religiously . So we did not mention our tickets in the application, but owned up to the officer at the interview.
We did not have proof and our requests to get DMV records from the office did not come in time for the interview ...so we got really lucky that the officers chose to ignore the traffic tickets for us.

I suggest if you don't have proof, just fill up a form at the states DMV to get your traffic records. It comes in 4-6 weeks. If you do it now, you'll have plenty of time to get it before the interview which is when it will be required. It's just a safe thing to do and believe me you'll sleep better at night.

Good luck!!

you can write to the county which issued speeding ticket to you. they would provide you the copy of the citation, and proof of the payment.
