INS reports that the INS is undertaking security check and clearance for all the applications and petitions that they receive. Reportedly, setting up of the security clearance systems within the INS offices has caused some delays or backlogs, particularly Missouri Service Center. As we reported, the INS is required to complete the name-check process before any nonimmigrant application/petition is adjudicated. This new procedure poses a substantial pressure and challenge to the Service Centers in processing Premium Processing cases. People should be aware of these changes and refrain from adding pressures on the Service Centers and their legal counsels by telephone calls
