Dear All:

I have a freind who is a " Landed Immigrant of Canada" and on his return from India was stoppped by the IIO due to not having a Visa and was sent back to India to get a Visa, however he decided in India to head to Canada ( he should be arriving some time today ) and apply for his H1-B Visa at the consulate there, my question's are as below

- Is it Ok for him to apply in Canada for an H1B Visa after being sent back to India?

- What are the chances of his getting a Visa from Canada?

- Do you think the consulate officer would ask him to go back to India and get his Visa from there as thats where he was orginally sent back to from the US?

Please share your experinces as this is a matter of life for a very dear freind of our's - his wife is here in the US on an H4 and it has been an uphill task for the both of them....

Please advise ...

Dear bbb1974:

for the mere fact that he might be denied in India as things have got tougher while issuing H1B Visas and he felt it would be alot easier to get the visa in canada

Please do advise what you feel are his chances in getting in Canada, do you think they could tell him in Canada to go back to india and get the visa ???
