Re-Scheduling BIO appointment

Hi, Has anyone here experienced to request an alternate date for the BIO Category 3 (Finger Print) Appointment?

On the form it says that you can send the form back to request an alternate date as one can not make the originally requested date. Does anyone know how much time difference there is usually before they send you the notice for next appointment. For e.g. if the original date is for Nov 10th and you request a new date...Approximately when they will call you for that? ....

Background: I am asking this question for my brother who is currently travelling and because of his work situation he will not be able to comeback in time to make this certain date and atleast dill Mid December.

His timeline:

Asylum Approval : Jan 2002
ND date: 3/2003
BIO/FP: 7/2004
RFI Sent: OCT/2005 I-693/ G-325A -
Deadline to Submit 30th December 2005
BIO/FP notice: OCT/2005 -

Any experience in this matter will be appreciated.

Regards,

Yes it has happened to me this summer. I was in Europe and my dad had to reschedule for me three times. Once, we received a new appointment too soon, before I was able to come back, the second time my new appointment date was on the exact day that I was taking my LSAT, and so the third time I was able to go (actually I missed that appointment too and went in the next day and did my Bio without any problems) :o

I think that the best thing to do is attach a short letter with your reschedule notice, and explain where your brother is and the exact range of dates when he will be available to do it. I don't think it will be a problem.

Just Walk In

;) When You Walk In They Might Ask You Why Didn't You Show Up, Just Tell Them That The Notice Was Late And You Received It Yesterday, They Might Want To Do It, But Don't Wait Too Long Go As Soon As Possible If It Has Been Less That A Week They Shouldn't Make Problem. If They Do Not Want To Accept It You Can Reshedulle, They Will Tell You How. You Won't Loose Anything If You Try.
