Re-Instate Green Card application in case of Petitioner's Death

Hello All:

Can anyone please advise the following situation.

I have an approved green card petition which was approved a three years back. But the petitioner passed away last year.

What should be done to get USCIS to reinstate the petition?

If it is a family based green card, provide more facts (are you inside or outside the US and what is your immigration status, what is your relationship to the sponsor, is the sponsor a US citizen) and ask in the Family-based Green Cards section so you'll get some relevant answers. This section "The Physical Green Card" is for those who have completed the entire process to the point of approval (a petition is not the complete process) and only have a problem with the plastic card itself.
