My attorney has asked me to get an experience letter from my supoervisors from my old jobs. I could not get it hence some of my old colleagues wrote me a letter stating that they were my supervisors.

Would you know the I140 officer actually calls the old employers ? Any recommendations how should I deal with this ?

I've never heard of them contacting a previous employer. However, you should definitely be careful about fraud. If you're lying now, and they manage to catch you, it could definitely bite you later, as you would be considered under "purgery" which could affect you negatively. We had a situation where a person indicated he/she had never been convicted of a crime (obviously, this is different than your situation). Anyway, the USCIS did a background check and found out that he had committed robbery of less than $200 at one point. His GC was denied. He did appeal using the excuse that he didn't realize it needed to be mentioned, and he did get approved eventually.
Again, obviously, this situation is very different than yours. But, it's just a warning to be very careful about mis-stating to the government -- it could come back to bite you at a later date.

Good luck to you.
