re-filing the 485 application

Could anyone tell what are the steps involved in re-filing the 485/EAD application, if one doesn\'t get the receipt after more than 4 months? Is it exactly the same as if filing for the first time(for example: do I have to go for the medical exam again)?

Hi, with my experience you better wait for couple of weeks. My MD was 7/20/2001 and my ND is 11/15/2001 !!!, VSC took around 4 months to issue receipts( I haven\'t received it but got AP).To re-file you need to do all steps other than medical exam. You ask the doctor to give another copy, exam results are valid for one year.
