I applied I-131 on Apr-29th and got it approved on May-11th. For some reason, I didn't receive the approved document as well as Parole documents. After waiting for mandatory 30days I called USCIS and now they have considering it as lost and I need to re-file the application. Does any of you guys have this experience?

Thanks
Booshan

Gurus,

Does the following letter look good for re-filing the application.

Thanks

RE: Re-filing I-131 Application for Advance Parole Travel Document for the benefit of <Name> - (I-485 Pending Adjustment of Status), as the previously approved document(EAC-XXX) were not received and considered to be lost.

Dear Officer:

I had earlier applied for I-131 Travel document (EAC-XXX) on Apr-29-2006, which got approved on May-11-2006. Since I did not receive the approved documents, I contacted USCIS and got a letter that it has been considered lost and I need to file a new I-131 application.

In connection with the above-captioned matter, enclosed please find an original (or) photocopy of each of the following documents.

- Copy of letter from USCIS asking me to re-file I-131.
- Copy of previously filed I-131 receipt notice.
- Printed copy of previously filed I-131 online approval status.
- New I-131 application with all the supporting documents.

Documents for I-131 application
• Check in the amount of $170 for the filing fee;
• Form I-131: Application for Travel Document;
• Part 7 supplemental information;
• Two photographs;
• Copy of I-485 filing receipt notice;
• Copy of I-140 approval notice;
• Copy of front and back of I-94 arrival/departure card;
• Color copy of driver’s license;
• Color copy of passport’s biographic page;

Please approve the above-mentioned application as I have planned to attend my sister’s marriage in August. If you have any questions or need any other additional information concerning the above, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Thank you for your time and kind attention in this matter.

So did you apply for new AP. I am also in same situation with EAD, Approved on June 22nd and still waiting. But when i called customer service they said that i dont need to reapply again toold me to wait for 30 days and call back and they will file a deliverable form with USCIS to issue a new card. I am not sure if that is correct.
What are my options?

Did not receive my AP

I will complete my 30 day window on July 09. I am scheduled for an appointment at the local office on July 12 and try out my luck there. And then I would call USCIS.

I think the mailing contractor at TSC goofed up the whole thing for me.

When was your case approved? What options you are thinking right now? Would it be better if we reapply or wait.

MY AP was approved on June 09

My Ap was approved June 09 and mailed same day. Online status updated accordingly. Let me tell you this:

There is a good possibility that USPS has delivered the mail elsewhere. Other day, I saw my neighbor's utility bill in my mail box. I dont see may posts here about non-receipt of documents. So, I guess USCIS may have sent the documents and USPS has most likely messed it up. I have had similiar problems with USPS few yeears back delivering my documents elsewhere.
I dont understand why USCIS does not send out important documents by Priority or certified mail. They arre charging $180 and they might as well charge another 10 bucks to provide this service.

I think I will wait until I see an I.O. at the local office on July 12 and see if they can issue me the AP. If not, I will reapply. But I wont let it without a fight.

I feel you should have gotten your EAD by now. And you have no option but to wait for 30 days. If time is running out, you may want to visit the local USCIS office to get an Interim EAD.

Yes luckily i got my EAD Card today after almost 13 days of approval date and the date on it says it was mailed on 21st june. No idea why it took so long.
