Re-entry using AP: Additional Documentation required?

I am planning to travel internationally for a few weeks.
My lawyer just mentioned that I would need a passport that is valid for 6 months and my recent paystubs/employment letter in addition to my EAD and Advanced Parole for reentry.

I was under the impression that EAD/AP are the only documents required for reentry. Have the requirements grown recently?

Its not a problem getting my employment letter and paystubs, but I wanted to ensure if any other documentation was required in addition to all of the above? Any recent experiences regarding this issue?

Thanks.

Techincally you need AP and passport to enter USA but they suggest to keep all other documents to be safe. You never know when you will need what in the current situation. Its better to be safe.

This is What I Have Gathered From Reading and Experience

From what I can gather, coming into the US on AP should not pose any problems. You will need to have a copy of your I-485 receipt, the original AP documents as well as some copies (2 or 3) of the AP. I have also seen some suggestions that having a couple of recent pay stubs are useful. The airline might want a copy of the AP when you check in (you should not give them the original, insist on a copy if they need one at all). If the airline ask about your visa status tell them that you are entering on advance parole and show them the copy. You will also need to have filled in the white immigration form (I-94) not the green. Leave the visa field blank. Fill in your A# in the field on the back of the i-94

At the port of entry what might happen when you present the AP documents is that you will be requested to go for a 'secondary examination'. From what I can gather, this will mean that you are taken off to a room where they will ask you to wait until another immigration officer (supervisor?) can inspect your paperwork. This does not indicate a problem, this seems to be fairly normal. I think they just verify your status on the computer system. I don't know how long this might take, some people say 5 minutes others longer.
