re entry permit

I have two questions. can someone please advise.

1. After getting 1-485 approval letter how many days can someone can wait for getting stamp on passport. Is there any expiry peroid for approval letter.

2. After getting greencard can someone apply for a re-entry permit and go out of the country without completing 6 months of stay.

There is

no time limit for stamping. It is just a formality. You can hang on the approval notice for a long time. This will delay you card ordering only. Some people whine about getting plastic card sooner because for the sake of convinience.
No reentry permit needed, as far as I understand. No six months restriction anywhere.
Others, please correct if I am wrong.

What I mean for Re-entry permit is, if someone has to stay out of the country for more than one year without loosing GC status.
