can anyone write, please, if re-entry pemrit is in the same format as RTD and if it really is valid for two years? do we use I-131 to apply for it? thanks!
ian

you use the same application

it takes only one month to get the reentry document,

i applied on oct 14, i got it on nov 16

Same format as RTD,same application form and costs same bucks as RTD.Reentry is good for 2 years and yes it looks like a passport with pages for visas.I applied on oct 21,2005(I gave up my Aug 2006 expiring uncle RTD after approval of my GC) and I got approved on Dec 7,2005.It's on its way home and I should be getting it next week and will be travelling on it as my new benefit on Feb 2006 to Paris.I used to travel on RTD as asylee. Now,time to travel on Reentry as PR and then I'll be closing up on US passport.

cadel did you think the rentry permit came with any code showing that you are asylee or your P.R. was based in asylum approval?
when you caming back to the united states using the rentry permit did you go by the same process like you are holding refugee travel document?

There is no asylum code on Reentry Permit. As PR,you're no longer subject to random check in that crazy room.Just pass by.GC + NP/RTD/Reentry Permit =US passport when you enter US.Jubilee believe me,getting GC is a very big move in your lifetime.Look,I went to canada.Just forwaded my GC and New York State driver Licence at both Ports of entry. No need of passport.
