Re entry permit out of normal processing time

Hello everyone,

My wife and I are LPR and we had our re-entry permits. Solen during our burglary in our house. All gone. GCs, Social, Kids US pass ports and such.
We re-applied, every things back in hand, but our i-131 were still pending.
The problem is, it is out of normal processing time, beyond 60 days.
1) I have conntacted congressman office, online case status update changed two days in a row. neither re entry book or RFE came through.
2) I sent out inquery letter and notify about out of normal processing time. Strange enough, update changed two days in a row again and no reuslt
3) I called, actually three time, they were nice to me and gave me confirmation number for future inquery.NO update changes
4) I sent out inquery letter again, along with the photo and copies of supporting documents again including police report about the burglary, update changed two days in a row again. this is 8 days after the update.
I've already have a feeling that the book will never came.

My travel plans were cancelled, air tickets cancellation fee cost me. leaves from work were wasted. Expecting the book everyday is getting my patience wearing thin and nothing I can do about it.

I have no idea what to do anymore. Any one of you have encountered such a pain experience. Please share with me if you knew any things about it.

Thanks

Thomas

RP processing is in a very bad backlog at Nebraska Service Center. It is taking around 6 to 7 months to get one right now.

As of today 01/22/08, NSC is processing "JULY 13 2007" receipt cases... IF YOUR RECEIPT IS DATED before that date... then contact your congresman office, they are very helpful in those cases.

IF NOT, then sit tight and relax... you have a long way to wait.

Thank you very much for your time and advices.
My priority date was May 11, now is over eight months goes by. What I don't get is, normally when I see on line updates,I believe they are working on your case.

If RFE needed they send you immediately for the request. My case is, they have been gone over three time for both cased. I just don't' get it. I even send a copy letter from congressman office to me saying that they have contacted NSC Director Gerard Heinauer directly.

I just don't understand what more do they want. I will contact congressman office again. I have tried second time in the past. Since I never received a return phone call or email I just thought that congressman office is not really friendly to the people who can't vote yet. So I decided to take care of my own. As you can see you get nothings but stress.

Im sorry to hear that...
My experience with my local congressman here in Los Angeles was great. Very helpful and always on top of the case...

The other thing I would suggest is keep calling USCIS, and your congressman to follow up their inquiry...

Thanks again, I will contact congressman office again. I am also in Los Angeles. Adam Schiff was my local congressman and Immigration matters are handled by Elizabeth Vuna.
It is the same office you that you have experienced with?

Tomorrow morning I will definitely call USCIS. then I will contact to congressman office.
