Re-entry permit approval - How long does it take to get the travel document

Hi,

Can any kind soul tell me how long after the BCIS approves the re-entry permit application does the US Consulate in the home country send the actual travel document. Also, what is the process adopted by the US Consulate to intimate the re-entry permit applicant?

As far as I know, you can pick it up there. They don't send it.

Hi JoeF,

Any idea how long it takes for the reentry permit to be picked up. I would imagine it would take atleast a few weeks before I can pick it up from the US Consulate.
