Re-entry permit and AR-11

Hi,
I have my Green Card.
I am travelling next week for a 1 year trip to India.
I'll apply for Re-entry permit before I leave. In that, I'll specify my US address.

I also assumed I needed to file form AR-11 (change of address). But when I tried to e-file it, I noticed it does not take any overseas address (ie. the 'Present State' field is a dropdown of US states. There is no 'Present Country' column either).

So, how do I give an overseas addres using form AR-11?
Also, do I even need to fill out when I am travelling on REP?

thanks

You can have your RP sent to the US embassy in india or to a US adress. on the AR-11, I would put a friend's address who for you sure will not leave the country while you're in india and be able to sent it to india. By the way, it is prohibited to mail out of the US a RP or the CG. He ll have to give to someone going to india. make a choice.
hope it helps.

Thanks sunshineman.

But I think I was not very clear.
I have made the arrangements for a US address for my REP.

I was only confused about the AR-11.
Am I not expected to give my new India address?
But the AR-11 online form does not have provisions for entering an overseas address. No point giving a friend's address in this case, right?

thanks.

I think you are not expected to give your address outside US, since you will re enter US.

I think too AR-11 is for within US only.

Thanks guys.

I called up USCIS. They do not accept overseas address for AR-11 nor do they send any immigration docs to overseas.

Since I'll be maintaining my current US address, I was told not to file any Ar-11 form.
