Re-entry on first employer H1 to USA

H1B help needed

I got my H1B stamped in end of 2004 and came to USA in April 2005.In a months time, I got the H1 transfered to another consulting firm.Worked in USA till this year April and had to return back to India in May 2006 due to some personal reasons.

Although I have the new petition, which I recieved after H1 transfer, I have'nt done the H1 stamping and I dont wish to go back to the same employer. Is it possible to travel back on the original H1 stamped on my passport, which has a validity till July 2007 ? If yes, can I get the H1 transfered once again upon arrival ?

Yes you can enter on valid H1B VISA on your passport even if you joined new company. I did the same in December 2005. Make sure you have H1 approval notice (new company's) with you.
