Hello
My situation is as follows: ... I came into the US on February 14th 2009 from Venezuela ( I am a Venezuelan citizen ) came to visit my boyfriend and on August 13th my entry to the USA expired so I applied for a EXTENDED STAY for 6 more months and it was granted, and I am allowed to stay until february 6th 2010. I am working on building a relationship with my boyfriend and we have been living together since the day I arrived feb 14th in his home ( my boyfriend is a US citizen ) I want to stay in the US for a longer period of time without having to get married or applying for Fiance visa, because like i said we are "working" on building a relationship and don't want to make life changing decisions based on a legal immigration status. What are my options ?? .. can i apply for a SECOND EXTENDED STAY of my visa ?? ... if i go home to Venezuela, How long will I have to wait to be able to come back to the USA without problems going through immigration?? .. Under no circumstance i want to be illegal and lose my 25 Years old visa or be illegal in any way or manner... Please help me so i can make a decision as soon as possible .... I am in New York State, near the border with Pa St. and Ohio St.

The general rule of thumb is to spend as much time out of the States as you have in the States....ie, you spend 6 months in the States, then you spend 6 months out before you return. Of course, some people return immediately and get in fine, while others will get denied on entry....therefore thats why it's best as much time (if not more) out than you do in.
