Re-Entering USA with Old Visa Stamp and New I797

Hi,
I have visa stamp which is valid until Apr 04 from my Prior Employer. Currently, I am working for a consulting company and I have a valid I-797 visa approval notice from that company. From the past 6 months I am working for that company. I am planning to visit India to get marry in Oct 2003 and I will be back on same month. My questions are

1> Can I Re-Enter USA with this old, unexpired visa stamp and I-797 from the current employer?

2> If I can Re-Enter USA with above document, I don't apply visa Revalidation in Chennai. Is it a Problem for my wife to get H4 Visa?

Yes you can. But you'll have to show your current I-797 at the POE.

It shouldnt pose a problem as you will have to sent in your I-797 as one the document required.
