re-entering Canada

HI,
I landed as a PR in Canada last week. i returned to the U.S. on my H1B visa. I have not yet received my Pr card. I want to know whether I can enter Canada by rental car with my Imm1000.

I was told to re-entry by land with the passoport stamp for two reasons. First the air carrier will ask for your PR card and you will obviously not have it and second you suppose to get your card personally. It means that it can not be sent by mail to US.

It is easier by air, but take a refundable ticket

Airlines don't have people trained like immigration officer, but by land you got to go through them and bound to get into qqqq. Take a refundable ticket and if you end up a smart one try next day..of course they will look into your immigrant doc but not the PR, based on my personal exp some years ago. if you apllied for the card then ask someone to mail it to you...
