Re-activation of existing Visa

Hello,

My old company wants to hire me back after 6 months while on H1-B Visa. They have de-activated the Visa but would re-activate the same instead of re-filing for an H1-B Visa transfer. I would like to know if anybody has gone through such a process and what is the typical time-frame for the re-activation process to happen? It is getting processed in the Nebraska Service Center. Your help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks..

I am not sure what you mean by deactivating your visa. A Visa (stamp in your passport) cannot be deactivated/cancelled by your employer, only dept. of state or a consular officer can do so. If the previous employer withdrew your h1 petition by requesting USCIS, you will have to get them to file an H1 transfer petition (a new LCA might not be required unless there are ANY changes in job /salary). There is no provision to simply flip a switch and re-activate previously approved petitions.

Thanks for the reply. I suppose my Company withdrew my case from BCIS. Then, in case they have to file for an H1-B transfer, do I need to get recent paystubs? I am bench for last 2 months. Pls. let me know what would be the best approach.
