RD, SEP99, ND SEP,99 RFE JAN,01, AVM not updated

Hi

   I have replied RFE in JAN01 for employment letter. AVM didn\'t updated at all. It doesn\'t even say that i got RFE.
Is it common INS not being updated my record. My company name changed recently. Does it mean INS keep my application
in pending ?
