I just received interview notice for August 30. I was quie surprised as I just had my FP last week and my notice date is June 13.
For the interivew will I need a long form of BC I am from Canada and only had to submit standard BC with application.
Thanks for any advice

I have a question about BC's:

I just got my letter for AOS interview (Aug 11 - woo hoo). So now we have to get all our documents together (blah). My wife (USC) only has a photo copy of her BC. She think's the original is with her parents up in Washington State. We live in Arizona. Do we need the original for the interview?

I would say Yes bring Originals of everything if possible.( BC, Marriage liscense, TAX returns W2's, paystubs, ect..)

I have read in a few threads on here about people going to interview and having to wait on approval until they submit ORIGINALS of BC, Marriage liscense ect..

Call your Birth city Registrar/ county recorders office and have them send you a certified copy of your Birth Certificate if you do not have one I had mine sent to me cost $12.00, also be sure you bring Original Certified copy of Marriage Certificate

If they're talking about the USC sponsor BC, then it's to prove US citizenship. BC has the same value as naturalization certificate or valid unexpired US passport (obviously if the sponsor became a USC by naturalization, he/she doesn't have a US birth certicate).

If they're talking about the beneficiary, then they need it as proof of date of birth. I don't see why they would need the long form one, but bring the original anyways.
