RD 11/06/03: Second FP notice received

This is was one of the most depressing days for me in recent years. I received a SECOND finger print notice from BCIS. My RD is 11/06/03. My first finger printing was done 1/24/02.

I called BCIS this morning and tried to reason with the IIO. I didn't get much help. I doubt if she even knew whether my file was being considered at this point or not.

I have to drive 80 miles to San Antonio from Austin to get the finger printing done, AGAIN! This will be my third trip to San Antonio (the second one was for the special registration.)

Truly depressed!

Getting second FP notice does not mean that your case is not being considered . They get the list from the claims system automatically about who should have their FP's done .

Just hang in for a few more weeks and you will be approved .

80 miles

Well, you have to take half a day off, and in my case I have to take someone with me because I use a wheelchair and I usually don't travel long distances alone. So, I have to get someone else to take half a day off with me, or I risk driving down to San Antonio by myself.

I wouldn't have minded if it was something that was borne out of necessity. This trip would not have been necessary was it not for the unnecessary delay in processing of applications by BCIS.

Once they do approve the damn thing, I'll have to take another half day off! So excuse me if I don't find myself thrilled at the prospects.

O I see. I didn't know the difficulties you are facing with traveling long distance. I apologize for that..

Kuduer6, the reason I asked - I know several people who commute to work 50-110 miles one way each day... In the U.S., this is not surprising.

Farhan bhai,

sab theek ho jayega...pareshan na hoon aap....patience is the keyword.

This is from Sabri brother's qawwali:

"Dar-e Nabi par para rahoonga,
Kabhi tau meri kismat khulegi,
Khabi tau unse salaam hoga."

Yani ke GC ka bhi kaam ho jayega...

Fahran,
Why did you have to do your FP in San Antonio? Is there no FP processing center in Austin?
